Norilsk airport enhances energy efficiency

In the mid-August the energy auditors from the international group of companies “GCE” will  begin the energy survey at Norilsk airport, which connects the north polar region with 23 Russian cities

By 2011 end the effectiveness of energy resources use at the Airport “Norilsk” has to be assessed and a program for improving the energy efficiency with the calculation of investment over the next five years has to be designed.

According to Vasiliy Tarasovskiy, the Director of Energy Efficiency of the “GCE” group of companies, there is  a special interest in identifying the additional opportunities for generating capacity that can be directed for the creation of reserve energy sources, which in turn helps to enhance the energy security at the facilities.

Recall that from June 2011 Rostekhnadzor is checking the power supply reliability at 227 Russian airports. The attention of the supervisory body is focussed, first of all, on the reliability of power supply, the technical condition of the power equipment , the availability of backup power, and so on.
